2015 #9: Assisi Hospice Charity Dinner 2015

With the theme "Jazz up with Love", WindWorkz was featured at the Assisi Hospice Charity Dinner at the Pan Pacific Singapore. Amongst those who were present were Archbishop William Goh, Ms Ho Ching, its Patron, and Mrs Josephine Teo, the Guest of Honour. The band captivated the diners with our jazzy tunes and swayed them away.

WindWorkz is delighted that the Hospice has managed to meet its target of $1 million through the dinner, which goes towards its operating costs and its new purpose-built, patient-centric building with increased capacity as well as dedicated dementia and paediatric wards.

WindWorkz did another first at its second Binjai Park National Day Street Party.

The big band played its specially arranged debut of the national anthem - Majulah Singapura with much national pride and the Binjai Park crowd together with its MP, Ms Sim Ann, sang equally loudly with much gusto.

There was festive cheer in the air as the nation celebrates its 50th birthday and the old and the young both tapped their feet and danced to the music of the evening.

2015: Improvisation Workshop

Saxophonist extraordinaire Teo Boon Chye came and gave us some tips on improvisation.

It was a fruitful session, one that reminds us of the importance of listening to one another and keeping to the rhythm, and yet being free to go with the flow.
